What have you made with YOUR life??

I have recently read an article about someone I went to High School with and am blown away with the accomplishments that he has done in only 15 years since graduation....alright the most amazing of those accomplishments have been in the last 7 years!   Read the article for your self here.

So, now that I am still trying to figure myself out....I wonder what other success stories there are from my high school peers?  What have my peers done with their lives?  I would be honoured if any of you reading this would reply with a comment to let me and the world know!

I'm in the same boat you are. My accomplishments have been what I've done for myself in the last three years (although I should have done this years ago, it's never too late).

I broke up with my ex after years of being cheated on. (six years to be exact). Moved out on my own for the first time, began taking better care of myself by losing weight and generally being happy. Rediscovering love, finally beginning a long career in a job I've wanted to do since I graduated high school. I went on my first trip this past winter (with the plan on going at least once a year from hereon). I bought myself my first new car and am now looking to buy my first home.

Yes these are accomplishments that I should have started years ago but I now know that I wasn't ready to grow up just them. Now, I'm in charge of my own life and am learning new things every day!

I try to keep a positive attitude, am not afraid of change (infact embrace it), always willing to right any wrong, forgive those who have wronged me and love unconditionally!

We all have our stories to tell, this is just a little bit of me :)

Hi Sylvie,

I left High school and took a course in travel councelling at college that didn't really get me anywhere. I made the wrong choice i guess. I am glad I did though because I met the most amazing man in the classroom next door. He was taking hotel and restaurant management. We started dateing and realized that we both wanted to move out west. so we moved to Vancouver. I have always worked extrememly hard at my jobs. I worked as a sales rep for a souvenir company that had a few stores. I started managing the stores, and travelling to whistler and staying there for spurts trying to take care of a company that was slowly slipping away in an industry the owners could not stay afloat in any longer. It was sad but I too had to leave it. I went to work for Bell as a sales rep and I loved it. then I started working in the back office and for mobility taking care of corporate account orders. I then have a long story involving crazy hours and tiny closet work environments and being pregnant and loads of stress... (but another time)
I had my first little girl and settled down, I had my second and decided to move back across the country. we drove back and camped along the way ...
